Our Junior Tae Kwon Do program is a detailed curriculum which focuses on self-defense, self-discipline and self-control. As your junior grows into a young adult, these tools will give them confidence to tackle any problem or issue as they learn how to act and react to the world around them.

Our program promotes non-violent resolutions to conflicts. We believe in praise, encouragement and positive reinforcement as well as teaching the value of setting goals and working to meet them.

Five Reasons Your Child Should Be Enrolled In Junior Tae Kwon Do <<
  1. Improved Report Cards: Our curriculum is designed to teach children the importance of concentration. Improved concentration means that your child will learn more at school. Therefore, you can expect your child to receive better grade for both academics and attitude. In our school, children who receive A's and B's on their report card receive a patch for their uniform indicating they are Academic Achievers
  2. Tae Kwon Do Builds Healthy Kids: Tae Kwon Do is a great workout. Your child will breath better, eat better and sleep better. Children who take Tae Kwon Do are slimmer, make better decisions about food and in general learn to take better care of themselves. You won't see any of our Black Belt Students smoking or using drugs, now or ever!
  3. Positive Attitude: Kids in our program learn to have a positive attitude. You won't find yourself repeating yourself over and over or arguing with you child. Kids learn to be respectful of their parents and teachers. You might even catch your child saying: Yes Ma'am or Yes Sir!
  4. Self Confidence: It's true, kids who take Tae Kwon Do develop better self-confidence. They are encourged to take chances, to push themselves further than they thought possible. The success they experience through Tae Kwon Do teaches them that they can be successful at anything if they truly believe they can and are willing to work hard. Improved confidence leads to better grades, a better circle of friends, better performance in sports and extracurricular activities in general.
  5. Self-Defense: Tae Kwon Do teaches two forms of self-defense. One is physical, your child will improve his or her strength, flexibility and overall health. Additionally, your child will learn to strike with tremendous power and effectiveness. Hopefully your child will never be picked on or need to fight but should the occasion arise, shouldn't everyone know how to protect themselves? The second form of self-defense Tae Kwon Do teaches is internal. Children learn to spot danger and avoid dangerous people, places and activites. Tae Kwon Do can help your child avoid the need for a physical confrontation. This second form of self-defense is perhaps the most valuable of the two.
